Jacob was a young man, who was unexpectedly taken from us at the early age of 24, on July 5th 2007. Jacob's smile and positive disposition is missed by all who knew him from around the world.
At the time of his death, Jacob was employed at the Intercontinental Hotel and Conference center located at the Cleveland Clinic's main Campus. Here Jacob thrived and found his true calling of Hospitality Management. Over the course of Jacob's three years plus tenure he quickly progressed in advancing his career by earning several promotions. This was a testament to his dedication, hard work and caring for others. There are many stories on how Jacob befriended foreign dignitaries and local businessmen over the course of his employment. As he loved his job and he wanted to continue his professional development in his career path, he was attending The University of Akron.
The road to where Jacob came to be was not easy. When Jacob was in the second grade he was diagnosed with a learning disability, which led his parents to seek the best education possible for him. They enrolled Jacob in the DePaul School of Northeast Ohio, which later became known as the Lawrence School in 1993. Jacob himself had once stated, "Lawrence school is truly like no other school. teachers take a very personal approach to instructing students; they embrace your strengths and help you develop your weaknesses. It is more like a family there". Jacob truly believed that this played a great part in allowing him to develop into the young successful man he was today.
Not only did Jacob overcome his learning disability, but he also had to cope with loosing his mother at the young age of 8. Jacob grew older that he began to realize how truly important family and friends were and that things can change at a moments notice.
Jacob lived his life through strong values instilled through family, friends and teachers, not allowing one moment to go unlived, loving it to the fullest. Jacob will be greatly missed and is loved by many.
